Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of Turkish Society of Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine we are happy to announce our first congress that will take place between 5-8 March 2009 in Cappadocia, Turkey.

At 1^st Turkish Society of Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Congress we aim to provide a platform for developing and supporting innovative cellular therapies through communication, education and training for Turkish members. We have convincing program for researchers, laboratory practitioners and clinicians. Scientific sessions are combined with social events as opening of Sennur Dedeman Cellular Therapy Center at Cappadocia. Eminent speakers are invited for the lectures. More than didactic expressions the congress is planed to be platform of sharing knowledge in disccussion groups. There will also practical mesenchymal stem cell course during congress.

The region Cappadocia, which in turn is from the Persian language means “the land of beautiful horses" is unique in the world and is a miraculous nature wonder that includes a large table and chimney rocks. In the prehistoric periods the first human settlements have begun and the humans have constructed the underground cities in the volcanic rocks in form of tufa due to protect themselves from the wild animals and they lived for long times in these underground cities. Cappadocia was one of the most important places in the spreading periods of the Christian religion. Ypu can also discover the oldest stil existing wine region of the world. It is Cappadocia where wine production started nearly 4000 years ago.
